His most likely value hands are:
Slow played Kx, 7x
Most likely bluff hands:
Semi-bluffed FD which played flop passively then fired blocking bet to buy cheap river card.
(somewhat negated by the fact that he donked then called a sizable rereaise)
Pretty strange line regardless of what he turns up with here and I can understand your confusion.
Even though there is only 1 7 left in the deck, I'm inclined to think this makes the most sense.
The question is, if he holds 7x, is he also full?
He lays you 290, to win 400 + 290 + 290 = 980, pot odds of ~ 30%
He needs to have a hand worse than trips > 30% of the time for you to call here.
Really not sure what his range looks like after taking this line?
His gimmicky donk and flat big re-raise on the turn then donk jam river weights his hands heavily to hands that beat your trips I think ...
Tough spot vs such a strange line ...
My point exactly. In the end he showed up a flush, which I guess makes sense for his fishy strategy.
You expect him to be strong after that line but a flush that didn't c/r the flop then donked the turn and called a sizable reraise.
A fish so tricky that it has been said he can even trick himself into folding the best hand!
