A4o gets complicated.

Hi,

Flatting A4o in the BB, first match against unknown - 70% opener 100% cbet 12 hands in.

I think to call the flop cbet is Ok ? I wouldnt like to get re raised with here with my low kicker.

Calling the turn bet, I think im getting good enough odds here, villain could be trapping or bluffing, but have no reads to say what ?

4c comes on the river and completes potential FD, villan bets 40... I call with two pair ?

I think this is OK ???

Any suggestions ??

Thanks.

TC.

70% open and 100% cbet. On

70% open and 100% cbet.
On the flop c/c might be slightly better vs villains who barrell off frequently on A hi boards.
There are a lot of draws on this board though, which we can give villain a chance to ship by c/r NAI.
I think the flop is close between c/c and c/r NAI.

Villain underbets the turn => he's likely got a made hand and either:
a) is scared of draws - that 9 hits your perceived flop c/c range quite hard
b) prefers to bet a size which gets called more with value hands

You should make a note at show down that he can underbet top pair turn + river on wet board.

He could be thin value betting Jx vs your Tx + draws that didn't get there.
But we do suspect he could play Ax this way and so I think your call here is fine.

On the river you improve to 2 pair.
You have a decision between leading and c/r.
A call here is pretty bad and misses a lot of value - especially vs his underbetting range.

I think c/r jam is probably best but you could make it NAI if you think villain price sensitive.
There are so many worse hands that call a bet on the river that it is a mistake to just call.
Villain will call top pair + 2pairs you're ahead of.
