2 hands vs agressive opponent

Hi there!

Im playing against an agressive opponent, no reads on him but as far as I played some hands he showed agression.

The fisrt hand is kinda basic but still I want to make sure, what do you do against agressive opponent, are you inducing or just shoving? I shoved just because my hand doesnt play that good postflop and I dont want to be on an annoying spot postflop. Anyway I want to know what line have more EV

The second one I think flop is STD. My question comes on the turn, if he have Ax or 3x Im gonna stack him anyway, but against a FD I want to get it in on the turn, and by flatting twice there Im showing a lot of strength so my guess is he is not gonna bluff often enought to make the call on the turn and let him ship the river. What do you think?

Hi there AGT89

You played the first hand perfectly. Open shoving means he has to fold quite a lot of hands, which would otherwise have decent equity against you. If you limp-call, you will likely be a slim favourite only, and we can take the blinds the majority of the time without a showdown. There is no advantage to limp-calling, since we will lose to his better hands either way.

In the second hand, when he min-checkraises, I would just shove. The main reason is that you will probably lose action if a 4 or a 5 hits the turn. Additionally, if he has a flush draw, we want him to pay to draw to it. However, the main reason is this: he is indicating a lot of strength, and we have the nuts. Any time our opponent indicates a lot of strength and we have the nuts, the best play is generally to shove.

Hope this helps.

Hi Adam! Well, on the fisrt

Hi Adam!

Well, on the fisrt hand I mean if it's better OS or minraise-call since he is an agressive opponent, I didnt consider the limp, sorry for not make it clear!

The second one you consider he is showing a lot of strength (made hands) + FDs and against that range you want to shove, and I agree, but do you really don't consider bluffs on his range? Its and Axx board so I do not expect him to have many of those, so I suspect a bluffing line, and if we consider that if he has a strong made hand is going to get it in no matter what, then I think we can win a ton of money flatting and let him bluff.

The only disadvantage is if he has a FD and he hits on the turn, but whatever I dont care if it happens! (And btw, I expect him to play FD check-push, so I dont give him a lot of them too !!)

Hello, when I put my key, and appears a start and I can not change, this is my key Product ID D9AA-6C30-93A3-9985-859D-2896-B3DE-4CF3. What can I do?

Hi AGT89 The argument that I

Hi AGT89

The argument that I would make for shoving is that you will lose action from pocket pairs, 2x and 3x, sets and strangely played Ax if a 4x or 5x comes on the turn. However, it sounds like you have thought everything through quite carefully, which is really the key to poker. I would still shove though.

Hope this helps.
