Hi all,
these days I have been confronted with a lot of players who start their SNG with an open shove.
No worries, as most of the time, I could easily fold with a very poor hand.
But on a few occasions I somehow did not know what to do. Even with somwhow "obvious" great hands like AQs, JJ, is it wise to call this shove and play the SNG on one hand or is it better to hope for some getting some edge during the game and adapt at best to Villain ?
To be honest, I almost always called the shoves with AT+ and 77+, but I have to say I almost always lost, and very often facing weaker hands that hit the board.
So can you advice on what you would do with the following hands facing a shove ?
Case 1 : Hero has AKs. AKo, AQs, AQo in BB, Vilain open shoves 1st hand.
Case 2 : Hero has AJs, AJo. ATs, ATo
Case 3 : Hero has KK, QQ, JJ, QQ
Case 4 . Hero has PP TT, 99, 88, 77
Case 5 : Hero has 66, 55, 44, 33, 22
Thanks and sorry if this is a real newbie question. I have seen Chadders0 videos, made an EXcel decision sheet for 1st hand action, but even respecting this sheet, I still find it a shame to risk the SNG on the first hand on a coin flip. Am I wrong ?

Put villain on a range of hands which he shoves as a function of S.
Calculate your equity with each holding vs that range.
Call when you have the equity to do so, otherwise fold.
Call when:
e > (S-1) / (2S)
where
S = effective stack
e = equity vs villain's open jamming range
Hint: @ 25BB you won't be folding many of the hands in your posted case [1-5] ranges vs typical open jamming ranges.
