The other guy is a fish.Should i play the hand different.
you should bet the flop, half pot is fine, the only reason to check here is if you think villain is likely to check raise a paired board because facing a check raise would suck, but you say he is fish so unlikely to check raise his air ,there are straight draws that you could get value from and should bet against
unless your plan was to check behind and call all the way (which you did but i think u lost value on the river and should have raised, if that was your plan) which would of been ok
i agree with losing value by not betting the flop. but why raise the river? nothing worse is calling here, except you have a certain dynamic going on. i can´t expect a hand like J2 to call here. or A high, or 87. if you get a call, it´s a K usually. people will suspect a slowplay and fold everything that you beat if you check the flop, call the turn and raise the river on a board that practically didn´t develop.

reason for raising the river
OP said player is a fish
fish don't min bet their big hands i expect the "fish" to have bottom pair or a small pocket pair or just ace high min betting in an attempt to control the pot
so i would raise the river as played for value
oh shoot, yes, i misread something. you´re right of course.
i would probably only raise to about 80 though. it should be an amount that villain feels compelled to call due to pot odds.

if your oppo is a fish my strategy in position is:
bet half pot on any flop always, you know is fish so he can call with a lot of combos (in these combos theare also 9x and Kx but there are not so much)
When he gaybets on turn is ok call and also ok call on river.
Riase or push river imo is not correct because i don't think he will put money in with air, if he calls your push on river he has minimum Kx.
