No specific reads on Villain so far. On the flop I think he would let me know if he has TP and maybe even strong 2ndP and draws. Furthermore, there are probably not a lot of 3x in his preflat range, the only ones that would make sense are A3, less likely K3 or perhaps 63s although I doubt it at this BI. I think we can further mostly discard 9x since I hold one. So I expect him to be mostly on draws.
He flats and the turn completes almost every draw there is. He checks the turn behind and after I check to him on the river he goes allin. Now I'm fairly certain I'm beat but I just would like to double check:
- How is my line?
- How is my analysis of his range?
93s fold to 3bet
I think it played right.
Check flop.
Yup, check flop.
You want to be on the defensive here, even with a top-pair-weak-kicker type hand. And you only have 2nd pair no kicker.
Yes, I do like your play here. 8s on the turn is a pretty bad card for us and a great card for him. His range is very strong on that turn, so you should just give up and fold for any bet on the turn or river.
If it is another card on the turn, like an any K, A, 2-7, you must barrel here, because he have no J or a lot of flash dro here.
May be 3bet preflop 90c wold be better for postflop sizings.
Sorry 4 my terrible english.
