I think c/c here does better than c/r unless you have reads that villain will passively chase all sorts of draws (eg. gutshots).
Consider:
What is you plan vs a jam?
- Is he jamming enough draws that you can call profitably?
- Or do you have to fold, making your c/r achieve nothing except better defining that you were behind?
How are you going to play the turn if you get flatted?
- On club turns?
- On overcard to T turns?
- On undercard to T turns?
- Unless you hit an 8 or a T, (less then 8c) you're not going to feel like barrelling for value vs his range.
How much is your fold equity worth relative to your pot equity vs his cbetting range?
- Is it best to take the pot down now?
- But isn't there more value c/c and bluff catching if he has a high bluff barrelling frequency?
