$57.50 - To ship or not to ship?

Second time I've played this guy... he isn't great.  Had him at 83/60 over 25 hands from the first tournament and this is first hand in second tournament a day later.Read wise, i don't have anything on him other than the fact he's pretty bad. PokerStars Game #58633178092: Tournament #371202361, $55.00+$2.50 USD Hold'em No Limit - Match Round I, Level I (10/20) - 2011/03/04 12:44:05 WET [2011/03/04 7:44:05 ET]Table '371202361 1' 2-max Seat #1 is the buttonSeat 1: mattutaylor (1500 in chips)Seat 2: RunWellRuby (1500 in chips)mattutaylor: posts small blind 10RunWellRuby: posts big blind 20*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to mattutaylor [Tc Jd]mattutaylor: raises 20 to 40RunWellRuby: calls 20*** FLOP *** [9s 7h 8d]RunWellRuby: checksmattutaylor: bets 40RunWellRuby: calls 40*** TURN *** [9s 7h 8d] [6c]RunWellRuby: checksmattutaylor: bets 100RunWellRuby: calls 100*** RIVER *** [9s 7h 8d 6c] [8c]RunWellRuby: bets 200mattutaylor: ?????

I think there are too many

I think there are too many hands in his range he is behind AND will call a jam if your read is that he is really bad. Any other 10x hand. His line looks like a open ended straight draw, looking not to scare you away on the turn. Only full that makes sense is the 86 imo - although of course you never can exclude the other two pair combinations on the flop. Here it would be great if you have reads that he likes to slowplay two pair or better. There is a fantastic HH Converter on husng.com! Pls use itAnother factor is if he lost the first tournament. If he has I would insta jam best wishesChristian

Oops, forgot to convert

Oops, forgot to convert hand... Ye, I thought exactly the same as you both and jammed.  He folded, but regardless I was a little unsure.

I agree, value raise (jam is

I agree, value raise (jam is probably best) is in order here, just too many weaker straights he could have and you do get that "WTF you called?" response from hands as weak as three of a kind here every so often.  A lot of 2 pairs and pocket pairs would've raised the flop too (at least from many opponents).
