I think the cbet is fine, vs

I think the cbet is fine, vs most guys they either fold too much on the flop or fold too much to a double barrel so you're profiting in either case.
The rest of the hand looks good/standard too.

Hey Ryan, Wouldn't you agree

Hey Ryan,
Wouldn't you agree that a (c/c oof & c/r oot) line would generally be stronger than top pair + T kicker?

A lot of the time, yes. But

A lot of the time, yes.
But you have to call 240 for your equity share of 800 pot.
You only need 30% equity to call here.
And villain can float that flop wide and spew plenty on the turn that calling or folding to the c/r jam will be pretty close in expectation.
If villain has been playing straightforwardly and you have seen him play draws passively you should bet fold that turn because he likely has an imbalanced value/bluff range.
If he demonstrated that he is competently aggressive I think you have to call it off here.
Definitely noteworthy that he floats 542 r w J8o in single raised pot @ 20BB then c/r jams when binks turn.
