Charles Hawk: Could you please write your thoughts about rakeback system changes in 2016? How it will affect the game and everyday life of middle ($30-$100) and high stakes regs? Also how do you feel about it?
Alex "A13x_J0nes" Jones: I think it's really going to kill online poker. Amaya makes claims that these changes are to "help the recreational players" and only effects 24 tabling emotionless robots which is reasonable, but that's NOT what these changes are doing. It's going to cause everyone make make less (or lose more) money and make professionals never able to play each other, which will make everyone target the recreational player very blatantly and relentlessly.
Alex "A13x_J0nes" Jones: I got interested in poker watching sickos at high stakes, play everyday, all day, and just slaughter anyone they played with just their mental ability. I don't think any kid is going to get into poker seeing 30 guys of similar skill waiting around all day for some fish to come and give away their money, and never playing otherwise.
Charles Hawk: I think husng community (regs in particular) should talk over, form their arguments - why amaya should reconsider - and then select a person or few and to meet Amaya employees for negotiation. I don't think its possible to return everyting back, but I'm trully confident that there is the chance to talk them into increasing rakeback for 200k+ vpps/yearly collectors.
Alex "A13x_J0nes" Jones: I hope so and I'm going to support any movement to try and bring attention to the situation. But I really think this time it's different. I think Dani Stern nailed it in his interview. Before the changed were kind of a "fee increase" for Pokerstars product, this change is more of an f u, you're not wanted here anymore, to regulars, especially high stakes, from Pokerstars.
