Villain was raising every hand from the button so i decided to re-raise his bet. After a while he decided to bet me all-in.

As you can see, I end up calling with 99 and found me in a flipping situation against AK. Is it better to just call and then re-evaluate on the flop or is it fine as played?
Maybe it's just my aggro style, but I haven't played against many people vs. whom I will not get 99 in preflop. Especially at the $6 level, he's going to show you A-rag as often as AK. I feel like flatting his raise is so weak... you'll get yourself into some trouble drawing to 2 outs on Axx/Kxx/Qxx flops, or vs. overpairs on ragged boards. I think your play is fine here.
P.S. Don't post results
yeah me too. I must have really strong read on opponent to fold 99 (i wouldnt just call, it gets u in nasty spots on the flop).
So shove here is standard. :)
To avoid confusion, most people consider the big blind to be the first bet, so his raise would be 2-bet (everyone just says raise) then 3-bet, then 4-bet AI in this case.
As far as the actual hand goes, you need to call 985 more chips to win a 2770 pot.
985 / 2770 = .3555 = You need to win ~36% here to call the all-in. I don't think I've ever played anyone where I wouldn't be comfortable calling an all-in with 99 with this much money in the pot.
@Everyone
Thank you very much for you reply's . I would also apologize for my confusing mistakes i made trying to explain things. I'm just started learning things and i want to improve. I just got one little question. In the same situation, with which pocket pairs are you calling the all-in?
When you 3bet to 400, you can call profitably with any pair against an aggro player who has more in has range than 99+/AQ+. Against a tighter 4bettor, 55+ becomes a profitable call. One (or more) of the coaches made a comment in another thread about how the value of chips combined with the pot odds, hourly rate, and equity of your hand against his range made calling AK in general a no-brainer in this spot, and the same justification holds true with small PPs. You have too much equity in this pot to fold, unless you have some kind of crazy read on this guy that lets you narrow his range to AK and AA-QQ.
