Cbetting question

Hi,

1 - If a villan starts to call our cbets on the flop regularly, should we stop doing them or just do them when we have outs or just do them with made hands for value?

2 - I would also like to know what is the appropriate move to make when villan calls cbet and then makes a big raise on the river constantly and we dont have a big hand or dont have a hand at all.

Thank you.

1. If a player becomes a calling station with post flop cbets, bet for value. Also you should decrease your preflop raise size and only raise with strong hands. Make sure you're taking into consideration the texture of the board you're cbetting into.

2. I would probably set him up with a strong hand mimicking my weak betting pattern by checking the turn and calling his bet on the river.  When I notice another player adjusting to weak patterns like this I'll sacrifice some value on the turn by checking to show him I'm not always going to be weak in this spot.  Another option would be to look him up lighter to see what he's actually doing this with.  If it's happening regularly you'll find him with air or a weak holding a good percentage of the time.

some villain still give up

some villain still give up too often on the turn, in this case i prefer to c-bet big and fire most turn.
others become to just call call call whatever, then only bet for value or check back most flop, cos some of them will lead out on the turn or river when u check twice and then call your raise.

Crystals makes a good

Crystals makes a good point.

The most common thing you'll hear is "only cbet for value," and while that adjustment can certainly be valid, it's often overlooked to start firing 2 and sometimes 3 barrels against these guys.  If a guy calls 100% on the flop and only 10% on the turn, you'll just bet the flop and turn every time and profit tremendously.  You can expand that to a more reasonable and common scenario, where a player calls the flop 80%, turn 25% and river 10%.  Find a lack of balance and exploit that in any way possible.  Often, these exploits involve aggression.
