Coffeyay's Math Pack: Problems Creating Global Alias

Hi,

I am trying to create a global alias. I created a new database, exported my current level hyper-turbo hands, copy the script in pgadmin III, changed the values of the last player and my own (2), run the script without errors, open PT4, set the new database active, but when I try to see the stats and use the holdem hand range visualizer, I am the only player available in the list and only my frequencies are shown.

What did I do wrong?

How Can I fix it?

P.S: I can't find custom stats such as min-raising 17-30bb, etc.

Thank You Very Much.

I have the same problem, can

I have the same problem, can only select my own name after I did the pgadmin thingy succesfull.

One thing I encounter when doing this, when I open the SQL querie, there is allready a lot of text, but in your video there was nothing when u opened it.

Should I remove the text that is there and paste the text from 2+2?

Im using PostgresSQL 8.4.

thx

Hey guys, sorry to hear

Hey guys, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

A couple of points. First sadly the coffeeHUD stats won't work in the hold'em hand range visualizer. This is a bug in PT4 due to the premium protection put on the HUD. A the time of the making of math pack we were not using that protection (as it did not exist). We hope to resolve this issue.

As for the alias not working, I'm not sure why this is happening. I think it may have to do with the new version of PT4. I will try to find out if there is something that can be done to fix this.

However, there is a much easier trick to viewing population frequencies (you won't be able to use hold'em hand range visualizer using this method, sadly). Make sure you are the active player (and use your regular database not a population alias database). In the My Reports section of PT4 hit the new report button. Choose "All Players Report" from the options. Now add a quick filter: Click "More Filters" then click on the tab on the left called "Hand Details", then on the right pick "Player is Hero"  and click it to change it from Off to On. Click "Add to Filter". In the window that pop ups click on Player Is Hero filter you just made (just on the words, not on the X) and then below click on the button that says " 'NOT' selected ". Now click "Save & Apply Filters".

This will make a population report. You can now add stats (including coffeeHUD stats) and the number in bold at the bottom will be averages of the stats.

Hope that helps!

Adam

Hi Coffeeyay, Thank You Very

Hi Coffeeyay,

Thank You Very Much for your answer. I hope the new version of PT4 will resolve the global alias problem as well as the CoffeHUD stats. If You have news, please let us know...

As for the other method to viewing population frequencies, I am not sure, but, Shouldn't it be: My Reports/New Report/Player Report/Next/Position/Finish...and then Add the filter?(Or use:  add new expression filter: - enter player.player_name != 'your_player_name' - replace 'your_player_name' with your player name (duh) with the single quotes included)

Thx for the fast response

Thx for the fast response coffee, seems to be working for me.

Another question, I have both PT4 and HM2 (like a baws), which would you recommend buying the coffee hud for?

I only use HM2 lately for cashgame, but if you advice PT4 for SNG I can switch when I play those.

I would recommend the PT4

I would recommend the PT4 version. It is the orignal version, so it has had about a year and half more of layout work put into it. The HEM 2 version requires Notecaddy and was made to look like the PT4 version.

For users that prefer HEM, it should work great, but if you have both and want to pick the CoffeeHUD of your choice, the PT4 version gets updated first (then the HEM version will implement that update once it is clear the PT4 updates are fully stable).
