Decided that HUSNG's are not for me really

I think i'm more of an MTT guy + i am gonna lose my sanity soon if i lose 3 ALL INS in a row with the best hand pre. It's clear that i don't have any luck with those coinflips so i'd rather just drop them.

Anyway, i played about 7 MTT's so far and cashed in 3 of them. One of them just now and big. Managed to get out of the hole (HUSNG losses) on both Stars and FTP with my win today.

I was really patient and got it in good everytime and held. It was the 80000$, 100$ buy in on FTP rebuy/addon. I couldn't afford any rebuys or addons and just played it cleanly.

Managed to end up 4th by shortstacking 20000 chips at the 4000-8000 blind levels at the final table and won some all ins, always as favourite pre. Doubled up thru a FTP RED PRO two times :)) I finally lost when i had 80000 chips, got 10-10 and decided to shove against the big stack which was stealing the blinds and raising ATC. I ran into AA and lost so i don't feel bad about it or anything. Just UL he caught a better pair then me.

Anyway, i cashed 8000$ for 4th place and am really happy about it :D Will play the Double Deuce on FTP, 250k on Stars and Sunday Million on Stars tommorow (since i can afford the 200$ buy in now) so wish me luck :))

This is a really bad decision... on 8k you shouldn't be playing anything higher than like, $33.  You ran hot. Now be smart.

Congrats, dude, but really,

Congrats, dude, but really, be careful.
You told about many unluck losses in HUSNGs.... Man, you must win so many coinflips in a row to go deep in MTT, and any big lose may finish your tournament. I mean you could play good poker for 4-5 hours, and then be busted in 1-2 hands... w/out money  or with 1-2 buyin prize.
You got 3/7 cashes so far... for MTTs if you cash like 15% of tournaments at distance it's good.
I played MTTs for a 1,5 years, have some experience, and I can say its worst choice, if you want to have more or less constant profit to pay for bills and food.

It really sucks losing after playing for an hour

I've never seriously played any MTT in my life, except a few minor stakes ones for fun, but I did play the Regular Speed HUSNG's on Absolute for a while because I really like the 150 bb deep structure of them.
However, after playing them for a while I realized that it really sucks if you play a match against a really bad player for half an hour or more and then bust because he sucks out on you.  Some of these matches even went on for an hour, so it was hard not letting it get you on tilt if you lost at the 50/100 level.
I can only imagine this must be a lot worse when playing MTTs, and in theory it should also happen a lot more often there.
I'm now playing the turbos and ultra turbos and I'm feeling a lot better about the speed.  Sure you can lose 5-10 Buy-Ins in a row sometimes, but that's just variance and there's nothing you can do about it.

nice ship, but be honest.

nice ship, but be honest. Playing the $100 rebuy without any intention to rebuy or add on is just not a very profitable situation.
And if you get tilted losing 3 all ins in a row try getting busted out after 6-8 hours of playing while getting it in as a huge favorite. It happend a few time to me before, losing KK vs 99 and 2 hands later busting out with AA vs KK and just missing the final table because of that at 5AM in the morning.
If you're really serious about moving to MTTs I suggest to first play some 45/90/180 mans and see how they go. Keep playing within your bankroll 50 through 100 BIs is a must! If you want to play the $200 tournies so desperatly try to get in cheap playing some sattelites. You might have played really well in the $100 but realize there was a ton of luck involved and dont get your upswing get to you.

Yeah, i'm sure there was a

Yeah, i'm sure there was a lot of luck involved. I'm 100% sure that you can't reach the top 100 in ANY MTT (300+ people) if you have no luck. I just ran good and cashed. I'm currently in the Million with an average 33k stack and just riding it out untill i get to the money or catch any good cards. I think that i play VERY tight.... my raise-re-raising range includes only AK/AQ/AA/KK/QQ/JJ... i fold pocket 10's if there's a re-raise over my raise. That range applies only if i'm not just trying to steal the blinds or reraise bluff a LAG.

Anyway, hope i run good and will post back when i bust out / win the whole thing... LMAO.

Edit: busted out in ~1700 something. AK vs KK AI pre, i had AK.

Thanks
Moved up from the 20's to the 50/100's on FTP and finally got to play some thinking, aggresive players. Quite a good night, made it 11w / 7l for +700$ (88$ 4man was the biggest score of the night). I'm definately gonna try to stay at these stakes from now on.
