HTHU 7s -2x on QQ2 - limp pot

Hi, after 5 hands, villian seems to be pretty passive PF, he has had no miniraise range yet.

Its hard to say how many bluffs he has on the flop, but turn overbet is slightly suspiciouss for me. I check/raise, beacuse I want to evade awkward situation on the river, and there is still flash draw...

What do you think?

Hi there tightfishSorry to

Hi there tightfish

Sorry to say I don't like the way you played the hand. We can't even beat A2, let alone pocket pairs or Qx. Against a passive player, I would say we are beaten almost every time vs. the raise on the flop. I don't think anyone plays a flush draw this way - the minimum raise vs a donk bet - which is the only thing we can beat. Even against a fairly aggressive opponent, I would say our hand is no good almost always. A chop is the very best we can hope for here. I think the turn overbet is a weak pocket pair or 2x protecting. I would fold on the flop.

I would fold to the flop

I would fold to the flop raise.

In my experience, a passive opponent who limps pre is rarely going to be bluff-raising the flop. It would be a really weird way to play 34 or T6.

A value bet means that they have Qx or 2x or a small pair (I think a small pair is likely).

Against Qx and small pairs you are crushed, against 2x you are very marginal.

It is also possible villain has a high pair and was trying to trap and is now just bombing it with KK/AA (unlikely but not impossible).

Against a flush draw like 3h4h you are not even in great shape on the flop.

I don't think villain has a bluff often enough call flop, and certainly not enough to alone check jam turn.

I would fold flop.

Oh yeah guys, I totally

Oh yeah guys, I totally forget good general advice: "Villains play limp pots straightforward."

I did check/raise and he did show me trips :)
