Hi there! I really don´t know what should I know before playing with real money. I deposited $105 on poker stars to play on the $1,5 games and went ahead and althrought I was lucky and won 2 games (the first 2 lol) I ended up losing almost $5 total. Althrought my 5 dollar set back is not a very devastating event, it was a real wake up call. I am a fish, and I´m going back to play money till I have a way of thinking this game. Soo, my question is: what should I know (and what skills should I develop) before I play real money? From watching the first 2 videos of PrimordialAA series "HUSNG from Scratch" I already have my standard ranges defined. I also learned about SAGE and learned about the need to adjust bet size to the effective stack depth. But apart from that, I know nothing, I found this article: http://www.pokertips.org/strategy/four-skills.php that talks about 4 key poker skills essential to have as a winning player, and one of those is counting outs and pot odds. They have another article on that site http://www.pokertips.org/strategy/pot-odds.php that explains it in a very concise and cool way, but I wonder if there is more than that basic overview to it... Anything else that I should read about on the subject of counting outs/pot odds? Oh, one last thing, any books that I should read? Suggestions are very welcomed. Thanks in advance, I´m gonna need some serious help (and study and work!) till I become a decent winning player capable of climbing from the micro to the low stakes. Thanks alot in advance again, have a nice one.
And another quesition: the is it even worth it playing on this stake with the objective of getting money to climb of stake with this kind of horror rake? My intention is to play and study untill I develop solid game, but after that eventually happens (I´ve got the patience to just let it happen, my best characteristic :) should I just inject more money into the account so I can escape the ultra-rake-boggie?EDIT: on a $1,50 game, I pay $0,12 of rake!!!!!
