Interview with Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira

Charles Hawk: First off, introduce yourself briefly

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: Hi, my name is Yuri Cariry Lira, I have 28 years old, live in João Pessoa-Brazil and im also a medicine student – almost finishing the graduation.

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: My history at hu hypers started at 2012, playing 60s, fully inspired by players like SkaiWalkurrr due the amazing results they was doing, printing something like +500k$/year. I played those games until 2013 and, when i was almost getting 100% stablished at 300s, i got affected by a depression crises, making me stop the process at the height of the climb.

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: After that, I spent almost 2 years drifting around when finally I´ve got rescued by a SpinDegens propose to play Spin and Goes at july/2015. Thanks their invititation, I started playing at 15s spins and, thanks God, my discipline and the incredible work made by them i was playing 100s in 6 months with a lot of success, to never more look back.

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: Nowadays i play only 100s Spins at PokerStars with the identity of Mr. Cariry.

Charles Hawk: What new have you learned this year as a poker pro? What new have you learned off-tables?

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: At some point after hit 100s spins, I started to get boring, and something that brought me some inspiration was start to teach brazilian guys to play the game. They are like a light to me in a empty of purpose. Although I'm doing very well in the spins, I prefered to use this extra time to focus in develop my game and teach people to keep improving; this option seemed much more meaningfull to me than just print money.

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: So my main learnings this year has been aling/organize my reasoning and transmit those concepts as clearly as possible. I´ve also learned how diffilcult is deal with people. lol. But everything has been quite exciting

and interesting.

Charles Hawk: What are your goals in poker? Do you have any "off-poker" goals/dreams?

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: At the moment my main goal at poker is, first of all, honor and conclude my contract with SpinDegens and keep improving the brazilian team i´ve helped to develop.

-How long do you plan to play it?

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: As long as spins remains. xD

-Do you have any "off-poker" goals/dreams?

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: I expect to join at least 1kk$ and after that spent the rest of my life just studying and helping people with knowledge.

Charles Hawk: Describe the biggest leaks of Spin population tendencies?

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: I start thinking I'm dealing with someone loose-passive (most commom recreatives behavior), but I'm always attentive to change my strategy in very few hands, maybe in one single hand.

This strategy has shown pretty effective.

-What are your main leaks in SPINS which you are willing to improve this year?

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: I´ve doing pretty great in pretty much every position, my cev is above 45 there are more than 10.000 spins; but im aware of the importance of always keep studying, so I make some regulars studies at PioSolver.

Charles Hawk: What are the most valuable lessons which you learned in Spins not from theory but from practice?

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: The laws ruling the poker are pretty much the same ruling the life.

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: Although we all go through ups and downs, what matters most is to focus on the long term and take advantage of the descents to pack and make us stronger and more determined.

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: The true warrior, is the one who works with method, who tries to understand what he is doing; Only then can we transform this apparent chaos that is life into something solid / concrete, only then can we build a steady ladder towards infinity.

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: You can start bad even when everything you do is correct, the only guarantee we have is, if you hold on and move foward with focus and discipline, You will retrieve everything you deserve, because you can be unlucky for some days, weeks, months or maybe years, but 100% sure you cannot be unlucky forever; nothing is more real than this, not even money.

Yuri Cariry 'Mr. Cariry' Lira: Many people spent life looking for it, but if they realized that nothing is more valuable than a tough mind and a soft heart, they would definitely change their focus and immerse in a much more prosperous and meaninful life, and everything else is mere consequence.
