1st hand:
It's early in the match and have no specific reads and hold AKo. I raise to $60, he 3bets to $180, and I 4bet to $480. Flop comes 9-6-T with 2 hearts. He checks, and I check it back. Turn comes a T and he bets $820 (almost a shove).
I really think my preflop play is -EV there, I don't like it. How could I've played it better preflop?
2nd hand against the same villain:
I have Q7, he limps, i check behind. Flop comes Qh-Jd-8d. I check, he bets $40, I raise it to $140 and then he shoves (820 more to call). Is this a fold or a call? I called and he showed Q7dd and made his flush.
for the AK i don't think u should have re .. reraised after his second reraise because it s early in the match u shoulda call cause u don 't know anything about him... second option woulda been to shove all in unsted...
for your second hand it depends how much u have left... if your stack is big enough just fold after his reraise...if your gettin short then i think ur call was alright...
some top guys will tell you what they think about this on ur topic but this is my opinion...
1st hand:
raise to 540 preflop and shove flop...
If you're not worried about range merging (which it sounds like you're not), jam preflop? Or raise larger.
