My poor attempt at TCOOP :(

So, as it was destined, I luckboxed into TCOOP11 Heads Up tournament via satellite. So, why not give it a shot with a big guys? But, I ended up losing in very first match, while at very same time playing one of the worst weak tight passive poker games I could possibly play. So, without further introduction...

HERO is an aspiring micro HUSNG fish on a slow and thorny road towards the nosebleed stakes. VILLAIN is a successful scheduled tournament player who has amassed over 20k$ in tournament profits over 6 month period (in various tournament formats). Loves to limp and mix up his play.

So, if there is any good soul willing to review 93 hands of pure and utter horror, I would apprieciate it very much. :)

You should toss a youtube

You should toss a youtube video up so we can embed it directly in the thread. I think you'll have a much better chance of getting people to watch it then.

Unfortunately I didn't record

Unfortunately I didn't record the match. I could make a silent video of a hand review in universal player with some typed comments and my thought process (or lack of one), but I'm afraid thats best I can do right now.

That's not a bad

That's not a bad solution. It's just that a .rar file from anybody but someone they are very familiar with is usually not downloaded in this community, due to the many trojan type files that have been installed in .rar or .zip files over the years. Not that you're not trustworthy, but many players that don't know a lot of other players come to the site, so posting a youtube video embedded will really maximize the chances they respond.

No problem. Though I don't

No problem. Though I don't believe .rar, .zip file can directly infect computer with any form of virus, but its contents, like cleverly disguised .exe file.

on the 868 flop it is quite dry
  • on the 868 flop it is quite dry would a 1/2 cbet maybe an underbet be better?
  • why do you keep min raising when deep against a player who is so passive and didn't 3bet you once I don't think I think it is way more profitable to 3x a player like this when deep
  • at 1:37 raise the J9o he is limping a wide range and J9 plays quite well on the flop
  • 2:07 why limp against a player that so far hasn't 3bet you once?
  • I think you missed a lot of +EV plays by not stabing at some of the limped pots with you air when the board was dry for example at 10:41 I think this is a good flop to stab at as he won't have that many Axs in his range and it is quite dry
  • at 7:38 just bet the flop its so dry and you have pretty much no equity
  • 9:43 I think you should lead the flop for value here he is a passive player so don't expect him to be betting too much and the c/r looks very strong coming from your image so far
  • A6s hand raise his limp
  • 12.05 just lead the flop same reason as at 9:43
  • 12:32 I think you make your life easier and get him to fold out some of his equity by just betting here and taking it down

Hope this helps, let me know what you think and where you disagree with me :)

I dont think it matters what

I dont think it matters what i do on 868 flop, this early he will probably play it fit or fold. Even checking the flop seems good now.I think minraising deep was one of my biggest leaks, but by the time I realized it in the match I was way past the effective stack sizes for more then 2xing.Limped probably to see how reacts, so if he is overly aggro I would limptrap some monsters later.About stabbing his limps, I was probably confused by the fact that he folded to all  of my 3bets that I assumed that he mixes good hands in his pfr as well as in limping range, thus waiting for value hands and checking down garbage seemed like less spewy option. Now I realize I wasn't probing him in various spots as much as I should've.
