Pokerstars allowing automated decision software? (Regs' opinions)

Comments about this issue

Adam "v2the3/vtothe3" Sykes: I think it's clearly a terrible decision by Pokerstars to encourage the use of bots / advanced aid software. A system that had been proven to be essentially identical between three players with unprecedented results and to be further allowed by Pokerstars is incredibly shortsighted. If appropriate sanctioning isn't taken quickly it will become the norm to seek and design software as opposed to playing/learning poker. It then won't be too long before recreational players begin to learn through mainstream media that this is the industry standard, and that's when online poker will begin to die.

Arturs "IKSecret" Kurnajevs: My personal opinion is that programs like that will kill HU poker, because sooner or later recreational players will get to know about it too and will stop playing. It will become like playing vs Casino. It gives green light for more complex softs, which again will kill games.

Alex "A13X_J0neS" Jones: The thing is, nobody except the people who use it, and created it, know what this software is.  I feel it's unfair and against the spirit of the game for my opponents to be using software which I'm not aware of.

This software, unlike previous software like HUDs, seem to improve results massively and instantly.

Stars should be clear on its stance on 3rd party private software.  It's in all proffesionals' best interest to start developing their own in-game assistance software if their opponents are allowed to have such software.

Zak "BOOMF" Wray: I don't think there is enough information to actually comment. I read that Stars are reviewing their terms and conditions in light of this new case, but of course i think it is imperative that they take a zero tolerance attitude towards things like working bots, or betting assistants because it's probably the biggest threat to the future of online poker. Indeed it might even be inevitable that eventually poker is just close to solved and less competitive

killuifuplay:  I don't think Pokerstars would allow such a thing to be honest, and also I don't think this program is good, because I crushed skier so hard.

Sverigelottn: I think that it's a form of cheating. It's something that could grow popular among fishes, and what happens then? Or if everybody started using it because a few do, disaster. The programmers could test their luck to see what they will get away with, but ultimately I think that  Pokerstars will put down their foot before it gets too extreme. I don't support it, nor did I ever try it.

Killu hasn't really played

Killu hasn't really played much since October 2014, so while there's no reason not to believe that he crushed Skier, who knows if Skier was using the player aid that he uses today back then.

The player aid is also not perfect/GTO obviously. However, the results of the players since it is known that they started to use it is quite impressive.

People keep saying their

People keep saying their results are impressive but never heard any exact figures. How much did AllinGirl beat the 200's division for?
