two questions.
1) I know you said in chat that you're about 20k down to elky and you thought he could out play you. Considering you're are up playing HU SNGs and elky is over $300k down why is this? Do you think it effected your decision making process?
2) The two hands you lost the most chips with the AQ vs TT and JT flopped top pair vs bottom 2. Looking back at them would you have played them differently?
I'm not up to date on my Stars players, but I'm pretty sure that a lot of the money that Elky has lost in SNGs was because he had a Supernova Elite related prop bet. I don't know the specifics.
how much is SNE worth?
Over $100k on its own, but I'm pretty sure he had a prop bet on top of that. Skates could probably give you a more accurate number for the worth of SNE than I could.
SNE is about 130k in rakeback/bonuses/tournaments.
1) Look in depth into his HUSNG stats. Notice that he has a -2% at average stake of $1k+. -2% means that he's winning over half of his matches, just not beating the rake. Keep in mind that most of his games are from 6-tabling people like skilled_sox and me. He consistently plays the best players in the world while massively multitabling and still wins over 50% of his games. If he had any game selection at all or played less than 6 games at a time, he would be crushing. He is exceptionally talented. If there's any way to check out the "average ROI" of the people he's played against, I'm sure you would see some crazy figures. This is why I only eek out a 3% ROI at avg. stake of $500ish (the lower ROI on my SS is because I also play a ton of 6mans/9mans which I think my ROI is about -2% in (which is still profiting with SNE status)). You spend a lot of time playing against a lot of good players. Heck, I've played ElkY and Adonis112 each around 50 times if I remember correctly, though I run sooooo hot vs. Adonis112 and sooooo cold vs. ElkY.
Point: ElkY is very good, and his results on SS need some dissecting to understand. Me thinking he is talented certainly didn't affect my decision making process in any negative way. It just meant I wasn't gonna get a walk in the park.
2) The JT hand I still like, but would like it more if I had raised to 3BB preflop instead of 2BB. I could have also folded to the flop c/r. The AQ hand I haven't thought much more about. I'm starting to think that my flop call is bad, but given my flop call, I like the turn and river (polarization, blah blah blah)
ok that makes sense. I was confused how someone can be down 300k in HU SNGs but clearly be very good from the video and reach the final in the high rollers WCOOP. Adonis112 is livb112 right?
Adonis is livb.
