Hero: raises 20 to 40
Villain: calls 20

*** FLOP *** [3c 3s 9s]

Hero: bets 40
Villain: calls 40

*** TURN *** [3c 3s 9s] [4d]

Hero: bets 120
Villain: calls 120

*** RIVER *** [3c 3s 9s 4d] [7s]

Hero collected 720 from pot

First, I though he hit the flush on the river, since this is the line most players make. But due to the small size of the bet I thought it
could be some thin value hand.
Is this river call ok?
Second, I was really surprised when he showed the hand. And I didn´t know what type of notes I could make.
What do you write on your notes about a player who did this play?

Best Regards!

Ps: Sorry, but I couldn´t make it with the hand history converter. It kept coming all messed up.

I think this is fine vs a

I think this is fine vs a loose/aggressive tendency player. You're right, not a lot of hands make sense for him to have that beat you, but you don't need too many hands to show up that you're ahead of to make this a correct call.I believe plenty of 9x hands could play this way, and of course the A hi type hand he had and a pure float.

If you are not sure why he

If you are not sure why he made this play, a note seems more dangerous then it might be usefull.

Weird hand.I'm playing $15s

Weird hand.I'm playing $15s at the moment and facing this line i think in 4 out of 5 cases I'm just beat on the river here versus general population tendencies and villain is either showing up with 3x or a flush that he shouldn't have called on the turn.Imo general population tendency at $15s is to play there 9x fast (e.g. checkraise or donk flop) so i usually dont see 9x in their ranges on river as played. But occasionally you get a random weird (spew?) hand like this.I think you can fold river versus certain tight player types but if he has any weird agro or spewy lines in his arsenal you have to call.
