Hi guys,
am new here... glad i joined, and gl to u all.
I wanted to give my thoughts on the best players at each level that i play on stars husng, (obviously excluding the coaches here because you're all excellent)
Its basically players to avoid playing, and i would appreciate if others followed suit..
Perhaps even name and shame a few donkeys haha.
I hope this isn't disrespectful doing this, if it is, please feel free to delete my thread... But i think its really quite the talking point.
Ok
i don't play a tonne of $50-100 but from what i know:
ARobinson13, Passdagravy, Youngjedi76, Mattutaylor, lucasino777, ekko111, spiritfall
$200-300
JLande, Call2muck, Mcide, DI BASIO (true sicko) scosset, messier111, tonimonntana, ddbeast.
I'm sure ive missed out a fair few, but these come to mind...
Game selection people... and good luck to all
Doesn't tonimonntana play the 1100/2200's ? I remember watching him one night for a couple of hours and he was 3 tabling those non stop. Lost quite a few also...
Yeah,
i think he's been on a bad run and dropped down the stakes...
He accused me of slowrolling him when it went in on flop 10 8 5 , i had q10 when his range surely includes K10,A10 perhaps even JJ and QQ...
Decent enough player tho...
Tonni is very tough, he plays from 230 to over 1k in buyin I believe, generally turbos only.
He doesn't seem to be a very nice guy to many either. I know I dislike playing him, but have gotten the better of him several times (the WCOOP heads up event, that was a very tough long match playing deeper stacked than I'm used to for quite some time).
Arda has turned into a solid player. I used to not mind playing him a long time ago, but even then he could put you in tough spots. He's now somebody I'd avoid as often as Tonni.
The usual suspects, bcm, thepabloshow, nofear/cacaw, travo, phenom, m@dm@d, sifosis, persephone.
Anybody with a few % ROI in high stakes husngs with thousands of games played is probably not worth thinking of playing unless you're super sick and playing very high stakes where thin edges are necessary.
+1 on ekko too, I believe skilled coached him a little back in the day and they are buddies. I talk to him sometimes, he's played a lot of 4 mans with Hokie and I think Primo too.
Chekdeznuts and whasssup are also very good. Maxv2, I know I'm missing some guys off the top of my head. I'd avoid Plowking in the $115 turbos, as well as a lot of other players that usually play higher but have been playing lower lately (knifefish is too good to think about playing that low, not sure if he's even worth playing up to 1ks at this point, he's played so many games).
Blakeb is pretty solid, I don't think his brother !ickdisease or whatever is as good as him, but he's much better than most when he's playing well, can put you in tough spots like his brother.
Ricestud, guti, teacuppoker.
Only one that I might disagree on is DDbeast, but he may have gotten better. Seems like a nice guy and I know he crushes non heads up SNGs like few can and also posts on 2p2, but I know many high stakes husng regulars loved his action last year in the 220+ turbos. Might not make him a bad player by any means, don't want to give that impression, I'm sure he can at least beat 110-220 turbos on Stars if he's not massive multi tabling.
Actually looking back I'm not sure on a few other of those names in the OP.
I don't want to look like I'm calling anybody out or disrespecting anybody though. From my point of view they're all worth avoiding in the 110-220s, but say I'm croix or someone who is clearly one of the best if not the best in the 550-1100s, I think I sit some of those guys if they are in the lobby.
Lol , i ve never actually played ddbeast in hu sng... but ive played hu with him enough in 6max to know i dont want to sit him!
Yeah, i myself play at 110-220 , so just saying for these stakes who i think is toughest...
BlakeB / dibasio imo two best at 230-345, although i think blake has now moved up to 500-1k buy ins, mtvdeum also another one.
Your right hes better than sickdisease, while sickdisease is the better mtt'er.
Theres one guy who 3 bets me every single time, plays 230-345, rele cant think of his name,,, arghhh
There are to many good regulars : (
Also i think its hard to say who is best in general. More important is having the right Mindset to play. Keep playing your best when running awfull, dont give up. Try to avoid regulars, dont get into unnessecary grudge matches.
Bas... you have such a good approach to it all and always have ;p, glad to see you posting from time to time here :)
"Theres one guy who 3 bets me every single time, plays 230-345, rele cant think of his name,,, arghh"
Hehe, this isn't me, is it?
Don't really want to say much about who I think is good/not good at $230+... but you really gotta focus on players who are still crushing now or towards the end of last year. Games are tougher yadda yadda yadda. People like -BBJ- and stevesbets don't seem to cut it anymore. Players that regularly just get overlooked are AceBong, teacuppoker, Persephone, and Dr. Fells... all of whom have been crushing for a long time now, and STILL continue to crush.
