US Taxes (what records to keep?)

Just wondering how you US players deal with taxes for HUSNGs.Does each and every sit n go have to be recorded as oppose to like a net profit/loss per day? I'm guessing sharkscope can't be my only source of records. I don't have HEM or PT but I can import my Hand Histories into an excel file. What data is needed for records purposes (tournament #, net profit/loss, etc...)?I don't really need an answer on how to do my taxes, just more along the lines of what data should I be recording for tax purposes. And do you think it's simple enough to file just using software like Turbo Tax?Not sure if it's relevant but I play poker part time and go to school full time. Thanks

Russ Fox has a website called

Russ Fox has a website called ClaytonTaxI would recommend just using him.  He does a thorough job and is easy to work with, no bs.  His rates are very fair in my view as well.He has a sister site on there I believe called taxtalk or taxtabletalk.  In any case, there's a ton of tax information on his site.  I would just email him though and end up having him prepare your taxes for you. When it comes to taxes and online poker, there are just too many weird things going on for me to feel comfortable filing myself.
