Volume

So I'm musing about the volume I put in... I've been 4-tabling the $23 turbos on Stars and while this has been great for accumulating FPPs it hasn't been translating into profit too well. I think once I refine my game a bit I might be able to 4-table comfortably but for now I'm just at a point where I 2-tabling is +EV and 4-tabling is not. This will of course cut down on the amount of FPPs and VPPs I earn, which does bother me - not gonna lie.

My question: What kind of volume is optimal for the $23-$57.50 stakes? Q2. What kind of volume is put in at the $100+ levels? I was getting in 60 games/day over 5 hours when 4-tabling and if I halve that I'm at 30 games/day (maybe less?). While I'll be moving up to the $34.50s shortly, for now the $23s at that kind of volume just barely keeps me at Gold Star.

Thanks,

Dnt

As a side bar, I aspire to

As a side bar, I aspire to abide by Jennifear's Bankrol/Cashout system but it seems so difficult to put in enough heads up volume to cash out anything meaningful. He rule is 2% of total buy-ins.

Oh, man, 4-tabling at 23s is

Oh, man, 4-tabling at 23s is senseless. You should work hard to imporve your skills and move up, because you can make even more FPPs playing just 1 table at 110s.

The quicker you ditch any

The quicker you ditch any concerns for FPP's the better. If you burn any ROI chasing FPP's you've almost certainly lost a lot more than you gained. 4 tables sounds extreme to me, but if you are able to outplay opponents and make good decisions, then it's a great way to make a big hourly when you move up a couple of levels.

Yea, all FPPs are is

Yea, all FPPs are is something like 15-20% rakeback for you on Stars.  That's great, but it's not worth playing 4 tables with a meager ROI.
It sounds like you should 2 table for awhile, work on your game, and add a table or two once you hit the $110 turbo level or so.
It's much easier to add tables once you're comfortably winning for a 5% ROI or higher (I'd suggest 7%+ in the $110s before adding more tables).

Thanks for the replies,

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm still wondering what the typical volume is for those in the mid and high stakes? As in, how many games/day are these guys playing?

Any feelings on Jennifear's BR/Cashout system as it pertains to HU SnGs? As I had mentioned above, only 2% of total buy-ins for heads up is pretty much diddly.

BR/Cashout System

It doesn't sound aggressive enough to me and it sounds like you recognize that as well. If you look under the articles page, I wrote one on bankroll management that might help.
Volume is going to vary significantly from player to player.

The more active husng "pros"

The more active husng "pros" on Stars play something like 800-1200 games in a month it seems, so roughly 30-35 games in a day probably puts you in the same ballpark (of volume) as successful pros.

Thanks Ry, thanks guys.

Thanks Ry, thanks guys. Having had a chance to watch some of the videos, read the articles, and browse the forum I gotta say this site has all the potential to be the mecca for HU SnG grinders... and to totally make the games a hundred times more difficult :(
