Weekly question: What is the toughest or most challenging about being poker pro? (Part 2)

Charles Hawk: What is the toughest or most challenging about being poker pro?

-

Chris (CHD17): The toughest challenge about being a pro poker player is balancing poker with real life. Having the freedom to work whenever I want often leads to me playing too often or not enough.

Jack "jackstack99/aisixer3jk" Ketendjian: Nothing really, it's great to be an Husng reg. The only thing I'd say is not being sure  what the future holds in husngs with bots being around.

Andrew: For me the most challenging to be a poker pro is to deal with dispersion. Because of dispersion I never know my real level of skill.

Darius 'AAnythingKK': I think its maintaining a high standard of play even when running bad. Spins have a lot of variance in a lot of different ways and not playing more scared/aggro when 'they always have it' can be tough.

Arturs "IKSecret" Kurnajevs: To discipline yourself keep working on your game to excel after you have reached decent income comfort zone and of course maintaining good life balance!

Paul "Cog Dis" Collins: I think staying motivated to grind day in and day out. It's easy for a short amount of time like a year or two, but over the years it becomes tougher to keep that motivation at the level you need to stay successful.
Another factor is that the games are dying and the return on investment for hours spent at the table is getting lower and lower. My guess is over the next couple of years we'll see a lot of people come to the realization that poker isn't as great an hourly as they'd hoped for and move on to other professions.
