Should I call/fold, or should i have checked the turn?
I am placing him on either a 7 or A..
With TPTK you should bet turn for value, probably even more then 200 chips. Most likely he has weaker ace or decent king, so you can extract a lot value.
On the river you split, if he has Ax ,or lose, if he has 7. So check/call here is normal IMO.
